The Ebb of Memory is an elegy for the living. A reflection of two realities, it is an anguished missive for those haunted by unsettling recollections, and a compassionate plea for those with dementia, unable to recollect at all. We spend our lives amassing experiences. Our memories, both wonderful and painful, tether us to an identity that is earned from our history. Without those memories, even though alive, we cease to exist.
